Eleven Months Later

The world will reflect upon themselves as individuals in the coming months, so I decided to beat the crowd. (Totally not trying to beat my resolutions at the last minute. *coughs*)

2023

  • I will write more posts than I did in 2022. (Wrote an overwhelming total of 1 post in 2022, ha!)
  • I will read more books than I did in 2022. (Read four completed comics in 2022.)
  • I will share more pictures than I did in 2022. (Made an astonishing total of 3 posts in 2022.)
  • I will be more active in 2023, i.e., walk more and be less of a sedentary fleshy skeleton.
  • I will continue to be aware of my emotions.

The first two are questionable, but I’m definitely finishing them by the end of December. I’m pretty sure I read more than I did in 2022, but my memory fails me for some reason. I suppose I need some form of accounting for what I did in 2024, so let’s go!

2024

  • I will write a post for every drama, film, or book I finish.
  • I will share at least one picture every month (be it on Instagram or Unsplash).
  • I will be just as active in 2024 as I was in 2023 (and maybe take more stairs and keep up with my daily steps).
  • I will make at least 3 posts in Korean.
  • I will, as always, continue to be aware of my emotions and be in control of them.

Looking back, 2023 was indeed full of ups and downs. But at the end of it, I think I came out of it fine. With the AI revolution and the mild fall in tech, it’d be a joke to say I’m not affected. However, I’m also taking a step back to see how I want to take my next step. In the meantime, I picked up watercolouring, and it’s been quite fun, though as always, more practice is needed. I’m also continuing my Korean language lessons. I’m not super good at it, and I know I need more revision, but I made it so far into the intermediate level so that counts for something!

I also started making use of Lightroom to edit my photos and upload some of those that I liked to Unsplash and Instagram. If anyone is interested in using the photos or looking for free stock images, I’ve always enjoyed using Unsplash.

Resolutions aside, I do want to better myself, be it in terms of the mind, body, or skills. However slowly I go, I have to remember that taking a tiny step is always better than nothing. It’s always overthinking and overanalysis that paralyse the body. The mind is a powerful tool indeed, so powerful that it even stops its owner. 😉
